Executive Director

Starr Rhee serves as the Executive Director of the Nashville Urban Debate League. She is a Nashville native and an alumna of NUDL. She previously worked as a public high school teacher in Washington, DC and Cambridge, MA where she taught Social Studies and coached debate. She earned her Bachelors in Government and her Masters in Education from Harvard University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and exploring new restaurants. 

White & Case Fellow

Hope is working and learning with NUDL as an intern this summer. Urban Debate Leagues have played an integral role in his personal development, whether it be his love for intellectual rigor or passion for educational equity, and he sees this opportunity as a way to give back. Hope debated and interned with the Dallas Urban Debate Alliance throughout high school, and is currently a student intern with the Atlanta Urban Debate League at Emory University.

Chair of the Board of Directors

Rob works as a finance lawyer, representing banks, direct lenders and private equity firms in complex transactions, primarily in the healthcare industry.  He also represents the Tennessee Titans in their league-wide financings. Rob is a partner at Holland & Knight, and its predecessor in Tennessee, Waller Lansden.  Rob is a native Nashvillian, and he and his wife raised his three adult children in Nashville.
