The 2025-26 school year was a record-breaking year for the Nashville Urban Debate League. NUDL reached 178 student debaters- more than doubling participation from the previous year- while expanding competitive debate programs from four high schools to ten. Students competed in nearly 1,500 rounds of debate, represented Nashville on the national stage, and accessed new summer learning and leadership opportunities.

The Nashville Urban Debate League's 2026-2030 Strategic Plan outlines a bold, community-driven vision for expanding access to high-quality debate education across Nashville over the next five years. Developed in partnership with students, coaches, alumni, Board members, and community stakeholders, the plan serves as a roadmap for sustainable growth, organizational maturity, and deeper impact. This plan centers on three core strategic priorities: expanding and improving programming, strengthening organizational governance and sustainability, and deepening fundraising and community partnerships.
