Devin Dunkley

Board Intern since 2026

Devin Dunkley is an attorney in the Labor and Employment Group at Holland & Knight LLP. Devin represents employers in litigation matters and provides day-to-day advice and counseling on a broad range of workplace issues.  Devin earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Educational Studies from Rhodes College and her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. She is also a graduate of Nashville’s Young Leaders Council.  A native of Murfreesboro, she currently lives in East Nashville with her husband, Chandler Vaught, and her cat, Penny.   In her free time, Devin enjoys reading, yoga, Lagree, and needlepoint.

Why Debate?

I am excited to join NUDL as a Board Intern because I believe debate has the power to do more than develop public speaking skills—it can shape confident, thoughtful, and engaged young leaders. I’m excited by the opportunity to contribute to an organization that gives students a space to challenge ideas, listen to different perspectives, and grow through meaningful dialogue.

I believe in the power of debate because it teaches us that disagreement doesn’t have to divide us. At its best, debate encourages curiosity, critical thinking, confidence, and empathy. It pushes students to question assumptions, communicate with purpose, and understand perspectives other than their own. Those skills extend far beyond a debate round and will continue to serve students even after graduation to help them become better leaders and members of their communities.
