Volunteer spotlight
Nashville Debate League is happy to salute our Spotlight Volunteer: Carla Rosenthal
Since joining our board two years ago, Carla Rosenthal’s work has positively impacted our league and its debaters in many ways! Not only has she shared her time, experience, and brilliant ideas as a board member, she has been a glowing presence at our tournaments judging debate rounds and serving as a source of encouragement to our volunteers and debaters. In April, Carla helped organize Nashville Debate’s very successful Big Payback Fundraiser, and she and her husband Mark hosted The Big Payback Nashville Debate League Celebration at their beautiful restaurant in downtown Nashville, Rodizio Grill.

ABOUT CARLA
Carla Rosenthal is the Vice President of Westlake Restaurant Management and the owner of The Melting Pot Fondue Restaurant and Rodizio Grill, the Brazilian Steakhouse in Nashville, TN. She has lived here for 25 years with her husband and business partner Mark and their son, Ben. Although she is an avid tennis player and community volunteer, Carla has found a true passion for the world of high school policy debate! After watching her son blossom into one of the country’s top debaters, Carla knew she wanted to help encourage Metro students discover policy debate and see what doors are opened by it.
